please head over to andchloe.com to follow my blog…

I am currently in the process of getting my new blog up and running. I will be migrating some of the content from my MOCHIE-ROO blog onto there, as well as adding many new features. On andchloe.com you can expect a chronicling of my “thoughts, ideas, and inspirations relating to design, lifestyle, fashion, food, my design and watercolor work, and other blogs”.
&chloe will feature posts about:
- design: others and my own, specifically graphic & web, logo design, paper goods, and my favorite shops
- pets & watercolor pet portraits: I will continue to share my in-progress and finished watercolor pet portraits, along with a biography on the subject of the portrait – this is the reason I started my MOCHIE-ROO blog in the first place, AND I love sharing my furry friends with you. I will also continue to share pet-related content including, pet products I love and pet health & wellness information.
- rooms & spaces: certainly this could be categorized as design, but I am skimming it off and making it into its own category featuring beautiful interior design (some exterior design, too)
- color palettes: I LOVE color and therefor will feature not only my own palettes (see my Everyday Palettes that will be migrating over), but I will also feature palettes created by others
- fashion: like any good girl worth her weight in clothing, I thoroughly enjoy fashion so you will find smatterings of that here
- food: I love good food and by good I mean not only tasty, but healthy and whole, too. I will feature recipes of my own as well as share my favorite food-related tidbits from other blogs, sites, and magazines
- business: creating, building, and growing businesses fascinates me. I will share my own business lessons learned, as well as other business resources I come across
- other blogs: one of motivations for expanding my blog was the enjoyment I get from other blogs – there are so many amazing blogs & bloggers out there! I want to share my favorite blogs with you that cover the whole gamut of topics – lifestyle blogs, design blogs, fashion blogs, food blogs, etc.
If you subscribe to my MOCHIE-ROO blog posts via email, you will no longer receive blog posts via email so you may want to subcribe to receive &chloe posts via email.
I hope to see you over on andchloe.com!

I found this recipe on Whole Foods’ website and modified it for my tastes … the result are absolutely delicious peanut butter balls that make a great protein/energy bar alternative or you can pop on as dessert. John loves them because they are (minus the chocolate) Paleo-friendly and high in protein. I love them because they are peanut buttery.

{photo from Whole Foods}
chloe’s most delicious peanut butter balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup organic peanut butter with NO palm oil ( I like to use crunchy!)
- 1/4 – 1/3 cup honey (depending on your preference; I use closer to 1/4 cup)
- 1.5 teaspoons unsweetened organic cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons organic unsweetened shredded coconut + more for rolling balls in
- 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (I like Enjoy Life’s semi-sweet chocolate mini chips that are
dairy- , soy- and gluten-free!)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds + more for rolling balls in
- 2 tablespoons uncooked quinoa
- 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts (your choice: walnuts, pecans, etc.) for rolling balls in
To Make:
Before measuring the peanut butter, stir it up well.
Mix the peanut butter, honey, cocoa powder, coconut, sesame seeds, and quinoa until combined. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
Place the remaining coconut, sesame seeds and nuts into 3 separate bowls. Scoop small heaps of the peanut mixture from the bowl; roll into 1 1/4-inch balls. Rolling is easier if you form a rough ball, roll in the coconut, and then continue rolling into a more perfect shape. (Remember how you used to make a ball out of Silly Putty? That’s how you want to roll these little suckers.) Roll each finished ball in coconut, sesame seeds and chopped nuts. I like to do some with all three (coconut, sesame, and nuts) and some with just one or two toppings.
Arrange the balls on a plate or in a container, cover loosely with plastic wrap or container lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Makes about 15-20 balls.
And just for fun… a nice neutral palette:

I found this locket on Etsy today, and I feel like I need it:

Yes, that is a labrador! And, just as cool (assuming you even think the labrador on the locket is cool), is that this necklace is made from vintage materials! In fact, all the jewelry in the silk purse, sow’s ear Etsy shop is made from “vintage and re-vamped” items.
Several of the pieces in the shop include animals. For example, if you love French Poodles, how about this kitschy vintage French Poodle locket:

Okay, so that piece may be a little over-the-top kitschy, but I think it is pretty darn cool – and talk about unique. Conversation piece? Perhaps. Man-repeller? Most definitely.
In fact, your search for “dog jewelry” on Etsy will return everything from dog tags (for your dog), to jewelry for your dog, to jewelry for you with dogs on it (some good, some bad, some scary).
So what do you think of the labrador locket? Good, bad, scary, somewhere in between?

I am excited to announce that I am not offering a practically unlimited number of color palettes on my remember the day prints and canvases! What do I mean by “practically unlimited”??? Well, when you purchase a remember the day, not only can you pick from my selection of 27 color palettes, but you can select any color palette of your choice from Design Seeds. Design Seeds is the color inspiration blog of designer and color-lover, Jessica Colaluca. Her blog is similar to my Everyday Palette blog entries, only she posts color inspiration at least once, but often multiple times a day!

Head to my *hello there, design* etsy shop to purchase your own remember the day. Then head to Design Seeds to view the endless, beautiful color palette options!!!
